Our Story
Tybee Ballet Theatre is a dance education studio offering professional and inclusive instruction for the entire dancer. We are proud to help Tybee Island stay educated in the performing arts since opening our doors in 2020.
Under the Artistic Direction of Kate Petit and Britt Bacon, TBT was born with the inspiration to want more from the dance world and more for our future generations to come. With a well rounded wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching and performing arts, our dance education school and company was born. We strive to offer high quality instruction in a professional environment for youth and adults alike, regardless of previous experience or financial status. We believe that art lives in us all and is not limited by the validation of social status. TBT offers equal opportunities and student scholarships for all interested and committed dancers. We have a passion for the art of movement and helping others discover the healing power of dance. At TBT all ages, bodies, and abilities are welcome and encouraged. Ages 3 to 103!
